The American Meat Companies Story

Our commitment to providing outstanding quality and value to our customers continues to set the standard in the meat industry.

American Meat Companies was founded in 1975 by Ron and Mariellen Day in Anaheim, California. They started with a small meat locker and have since grown to become a third-generation family-owned business delivering high-quality products to both national and international customers.

Today, we operate from a 40,000-square-foot facility in Pico Rivera, California, with over 3 million pounds of cooler and freezer capacity, including a blast freezer that can take up to 40,000 pounds of meat from 36 degrees to 0 degrees in less than 24 hours.

In June 2020, we started our expansion plans to the Lone Star state and completed a state-of-the-art facility on Dallas-Fort Worth Airport property on August 23, 2021. Our new facility spreads over 140,000 square feet and provides increased production and distribution capabilities, improved logistics for the central and eastern United States, as well as being a designated “drop-off” point for international shipments. In addition, we offer cold storage warehouse options with capabilities of 8,000 frozen pallets and 3,000 refrigerated pallet storage.

Our company has been in the industry for more than 50 years and has established a strong presence in the industry and community. You can rely on us for the long term, as we are committed to working with strategic partners to deliver the safest and highest quality products in the country.
