The American Meat Companies Story

Our commitment to providing outstanding quality and value to our customers continues to set the standard in the meat industry.

American Meat Companies was founded by Ron and Mariellen Day in a small meat locker in Anaheim, California. From our very modest beginnings in 1975, American Meat Companies has grown to become one of the largest meat purveyors in Southern California with over one hundred employees involved in portioning, grinding and boning. We produce a full line of steaks, hamburger patties, pork chops, and poultry items, and we make them to your specifications.

Today, we own and operate out of a 40,000 square foot facility in Pico Rivera, California which has over three million pounds of cooler and freezer capacity. The facility also has a blast freezer which is capable of taking 40,000 pounds of meat from 36 degrees to 0 degrees in less than twenty-four hours.

In June 2020, American Meat Companies began its expansion in Dallas, Texas. A brand new, 140,056 square foot, state-of-the-art facility located inside the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport grounds. The facility has over twenty million pounds of storage capacity, four hundred truckloads of freezer space and one hundred and fifty truckloads of refrigeration/cooler space as well as the addition of three blast freezer cells which can hold up to forty-two pallet positions per blast cell.

We know meat, it’s all we do. We are passionate about ensuring the highest food safety standards, highest quality and we are extremely proud of the reputation we have earned over the past 46 years.

Our expertise, passion, and commitment to exceeding food safety standards, providing outstanding quality, and value to our customers will continue to set the standard in the meat industry. Our dedication to exceeding all expectations will be unequaled.
